Joyce J. Ice
c33255 1

Joyce passed away unexpectedly, October 31, 2016, in Turlock, CA., with her daughter

Diane at her side.

Joyce is survived by her 3 daughters, Debra Baker (Paradise, CA) Diane Dubberley (Merced, CA)

Linda Jenks, (Dayton, WA), 4 grandchildren, Jennifer and Jill Baker, Daniel and Kaylin Dubberley and sister Faye Robey.  She is predeceased by her son Donald Chin and her husband Norman Ice.

In recent years Joyce enjoyed the friendships of many dear people at the Turlock Senior Center where

Joyce loved to contribute decorations and food for the gatherings and make festivities singing and dancing.  She looked forward to every Wednesday Night.

Throughout her life Joyce marched to the beat of her own drum.  She was a gifted entrepreneur and an

accomplished artist.  She loved painting, crafting, arranging flowers, and was happy to teach others her knack for art.  Perhaps nothing thrilled Joyce as much as shopping to find a great bargain and gifting a special treat to someone she loved.  She was hugely generous to family and friends and the familial bond was something she held onto steadfastly.

She will be greatly missed by her family and her companion Lawrence Mahn.

There are no services planned at this time. On behalf of Joyce’s memory donations may be made to New Beginnings for Merced County Animal Rescue. www.newbeginningsforanimalsmerced.org or call Sharon @ 209-769-2122.
