Linda Louise Tapia, 69, of Delhi, died Wednesday in Turlock. She was born in March 1941 in Livermore and was a special aid foster grandparent for nine years at Marilyn Frank’s Child Development Center. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She is survived by her son, Anthony J. Vega of La Grand; step-son, Ralph Vega and his wife, Maria, of Ceres and Jesus Tapia of Turlock; daughters, Mary L. Perez of Delhi, Nina R. Cardiel and her husband, Manuel, of Turlock, Jenny A. Duran and her husband, Juan, of Merced, Angie D. Alejandre of Delhi and Linda L. Carrillo of Delhi; half brothers, Jessie Leal, Robert Leal and Jackie Leal; step-father, Clifford Caves; 30 grandchildren; and 36 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 7 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 West Main St., Turlock. A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 7 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias. A Mass is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons St., Turlock. Burial will be at Turlock Memorial Park.
