Marciano Virgen, 79, of Patterson,  died Jan. 22. He was a farm laborer for 50 years and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Patterson. He enjoyed spending time outdoors at his ranch in Mexico and especially spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Genoveva Virgen, of Patterson; 13 children, Socorro Salas and her husband, Juan, of Patterson, Magdalena Virgen of Mexico, Alberto Virgen and his wife, Marta, of Patterson, Alfredo Virgen and his wife, Celia, of Patterson, Ramon Virgen and his wife, Hilda, of Chino Hills, Jesus Virgen and his wife, Raquel, of Patterson, Tomas Virgen and his wife, Maria, of Patterson, Julian Virgen and his wife, Christie, of Mexico, Nicolas Virgen and his wife, Monica, of Oxnard, Victor Virgen and his wife,  Maria, of Mexico, Pedro Virgen of Oxnard, Miguel Virgen and his wife, Isabel, of Patterson and Ana Genoveva Virgen of Oxnard; 37 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and siblings, Jesus Virgen of Patterson, Salvador Virgen of Crows landing, Pedro Virgen of Alhambra and Guadalupe Virgen of Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Maria Virgen; and brother, Manuel Virgen.

Services were held on Thursday. Burial will be in Mexico.
