Margarita Salais, 87 of Patterson, died Saturday in Patterson. She was born in 1923 in Round Rock, Texas. She was a homemaker for 16 years and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Patterson.

She is survived by her son, Hector Salais of Modesto; daughters, Olivia Salazar of Stockton, Soyla Nino of Patterson and Lilia Esqueda of Ceres;  grandson, Gerardo “Jerry” Perez;  seven grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her son, Eulolio Salais.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 15 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel. A Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 16 at Sacred heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons St., Turlock. Rosary will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 15 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be at Turlock Memorial Park.
