Maryann Moles passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 15, surrounded by family at home in Hilmar. She was born in 1927.  She raised three children: Anthony, David, and Frances. She had a gentle and humble spirit and a generous heart.

Maryann was born on Johnson Ave in Hilmar to a large family. She grew up in the Hilmar area where she worked daily on the family farm. She milked cows and worked in the fields while attending Hilmar schools.  

She married Tony Moles in 1949. She and her husband owned T & M Store for over twenty years where she happily helped sell new and used merchandise. In her spare time, she loved being with her large family, cooking, gardening, and doing puzzles with anyone, especially her daughter, Frances.

She was a member of the VFW 5059 Ladies Auxiliary in Turlock and a lifelong parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hilmar.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Silva; her husband, Tony—who died in 1996; her sisters, Mary, Rosie, Margaret, and Madeline; her brothers, Joe, Johnny, and David; and her great granddaughter, Emma Sandoval.

She is survived by her three children, Anthony (Manina), David (Celina), and Frances; ten grandchildren, Rebecca (Manuel), Sandra (Michael), Emanuel (Laura), Justin (Sarah), Marianna, Elisa (Vijay), Tiffany (Victor), Stephanie (Charlie), Lauryn, and Angelina; and 22 great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at the Holy Rosary Parish Mission Church in Hilmar,

Tuesday July 18, 5 pm - 7pm, followed by the rosary.  

The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 10 am at the same church.
