Michael Harold Logsdon passed away peacefully on January 27, 2013 in Turlock, CA.  He was surrounded by his family and friends.
He was born in Turlock, CA on September 1, 1949, attended Turlock elementary schools, and graduated from Turlock High School in 1967.  Mike briefly lived in Stockton, CA where he worked as a machinist.  He later became involved in the family wood preserving businesses, first in Turlock and then Ukiah, CA.  In the late 1970’s he built Fontana Wood Preserving in Fontana, CA which continues to operate today.  Mike was very creative and ingenuous with anything mechanical.  His greatest passion was motorcycles.  He enjoyed many cross-country trips with his fellow motorcycle enthusiast friends.  His love of motorcycles and mechanics led him to build a twin engine motorcycle which was featured on the cover of Motorcycle magazine.  He was also known as somewhat of a gym rat and enjoyed staying in shape and avoiding butter at all costs.  Mike enjoyed his travels to Europe, Peru, South Pacific, Thailand, and Asia.   He became a certified scuba diver and dived with his brother in Belize, Caiman Islands and Hawaii.   He also enjoyed many happy times snow skiing with his family.   In recent years he spent a considerable amount of time living in Panama.  Mike loved his family and friends and had fun adventures with many of them.  We will cherish the wonderful memories of Mike as he was one of a kind.
Mike is survived by his mother, Joyce Logsdon as well as his brother Mitch (Terisa) Logsdon, sister Brenda (Bob) Schmidt, all of Turlock.  He also has two nephews Dustin (Kelly) Logsdon and Kevin Schmidt and two nieces Karly (Dallas) Plaa and Megan (Joey) Silveira.  He was predeceased by his father, Harold W. Logsdon.
