Norma Jo Norman, 83, passed away Dec. 29, 2010, at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.

She was born September 1927, in Arkansas to the late Henry and Hetty Perkins. She moved to San Francisco in 1941 before she settled in Delhi 32 years ago. She attended Delhi First Southern Baptist Church. Her interests included family, sewing, cooking and making sure people felt welcome in her home.
Norma is survived by her son, Bennie Norman of Delhi; five grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Norman Jr.; son, Jimmie Dale Norman; daughter, Linda Sue Surkamer; two brothers; and six sisters.
A memorial service will held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 9 at Allen Mortuary. Interment will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 10 at Newcastle Cemetery in Newcastle, Calif.
