Robert “Bob” Stern was a third generation San Franciscan; his mother and grandmother were survivors of the 1906 earthquake. Robert received his education for electrical engineering during his time in the Army and also at UC Berkeley. He died peacefully at the age of 85 in his home in Oakdale. He was a member of AARP and American Legion.
Robert is survived by his wife, Linda Stern; and sister, Janice Bloch of Santa Cruz. He was preceded in death by his brother, Warren Stern.
