Mrs. Theda Jasmer went Home on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010. She was at home, surrounded by her family.

Theda was born in Oklahoma in 1927. In 1943, she moved with her parents to Modesto, where she grew up, married, raised three children, and retired from the Modesto Steam Laundry & Cleaners. She was also a very active member at Baptist Temple, Modesto, Placer Heights Baptist Church, Placerville, and finally Berkeley Avenue Baptist Church, Turlock. She also actively worked as a missionary helping to plant Churches in Minnesota in the 1980's. When she and her husband returned to Modesto, they moved to Kelsey and later Placerville. She returned to Turlock in 2008.

Theda lost her husband Alvin in 2006 and son Gerald in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents; Ruby and Henry Conrad, sister Opal Hicks and brother Haskal Conrad. She is survived and truly missed by her daughter Patricia (Steve) Cardoza of San Jose, son Richard Katheiser of Portland, OR, grandchildren; Jennifer Kailiuli, Christine (Trevor) Lemke, Anastasia DuBry, Matthew Cardoza, Aleece Katheiser, five great- granddaughters and five great-grandsons, as well as countless church family friends.

A memorial service will be held Monday, Nov. 15, 2010 at 11:00 am at Berkeley Avenue Baptist Church 2813 North Berkeley Avenue, Turlock, CA. Theda will be laid to rest privately on Tuesday, Nov. 16 at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson.
