Trinidad “Trinnie” Ramos Garcia, 93, passed on February 14, 2025. She was surrounded by family and loved ones.
Trinnie was born on October 1, 1931 in El Centro, CA. She was the only child of Antonia and Jose Ramos. Her aunt, Fidelia M Sanchez taught her how to cook at a young age. This became the foundation of her passion as a chef.
She worked in agriculture and the restaurant industry before opening her first restaurant, Mexico Café, in Turlock in the early 1960s. She would later establish El Charro restaurant before retiring in 1996. Between restaurants and soon after “retiring”, Trinnie was a chef and baker at Latif’s restaurant for many years. She was very passionate about cooking delicious meals and she took a lot of pride in her work. Throughout her years she developed many lasting friendships among the local community. Trinnie also loved traveling, shopping & taking trips to the casino.
Trinnie was preceded in death by her parents, aunt, first-born son, Tony Garcia & granddaughter, Taylor Vessel. She is survived by her children, Rosa Linda, Patsy, Toni & Steven; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren whom she loved deeply.
A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025 & funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025 both at Turlock Funeral Home 425 N. Soderquist Rd, Turlock.
