Our beloved Wendy passed away unexpectedly at her home in Turlock on Nov. 2. Wendy Martinez was born in Castro Valley on July 10, 1955 and grew up in Hayward, where she graduated from Mt. Eden High school in 1973. A long time resident of Turlock since 1985, Wendy was an avid animal lover who spent her days as a caregiver of pets for family, friends and local residents. Wendy loved art, and she loved to paint and draw, and was inspired by nature. She had many lifelong friendships, spanning over decades of her life, and will be sadly missed by those whose hearts she touched. 

Wendy is survived by her beloved daughter, Amanda Martinez and Amanda's fiancé, Nate Brown, both of Fresno; her loving mother, Ardis Martinez of Turlock; her father, Thomas Martinez and her step mother, Mary Martinez, of Pine Grove; sisters, Vickie Martinez of Pioneer and Teri Martinez of Turlock; nephews, Michael Hunter and Brian Hunter, both of Turlock; and Amanda's father, Leon Jenkins, Jr. 

Graveside service will be held at 1:30 on Tuesday, Nov. 9 at Turlock Memorial Park. Viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. preceding the graveside service at Turlock Funeral Home.
