Joel Campos is the wise choice for Assembly District 22
letter

I’m really happy that I am voting for Joel Campos for Assembly. Joel is a hometown boy who grew up in a multi-generational family in Modesto, graduated from Modesto Junior College, graduated from Stanislaus State with a degree in geography (and, yes, he is a map nerd), and then went on to San Jose State and earned a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning.

His degree relates to something that he can use as our assemblymember since in his job now with the San Joaquin Council of Governments, Joel works with transportation as well as infrastructure, water and disbursement of our tax dollars.

Joel is also a Sergeant First Class in the Army National Guard. When he is deployed to Kuwait or Iraq, he serves as a helicopter door gunner. When he is in the district with the National Guard, he works with our water, something he will also do as our assemblymember.

Joel may appear young, but he has a breath of knowledge that spans many different areas that will come into play in his work as our assembly representative. His academic knowledge, practical experience in his job, and leadership skills developed in the military give him wisdom beyond his years.

He is endorsed by the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, CA Coalition of Law Enforcement Associations, at least two local sitting mayors, several city council members, several former mayors, and at least three local Republican groups in addition to the California Republican Party. But the best endorsement Joel has is from his volunteers! They work countless hours putting up signs, knocking on doors, phonebanking, staffing booths, writing letters, and stuffing envelopes.

As our Assemblymember, Joel will work to cut taxes and reduce California’s high cost of living, stand with Law Enforcement and strengthen our laws to hold criminals accountable, create a comprehensive plan to deal with the homeless crisis, empower parents and promote local control and school choice, build water storage, and work to protect Valley farmers and farmworkers.

Joel has already been serving our country and serving this Valley in the military and in his work. Now he wants to serve us as our assemblymember.

Let’s make the wise choice and send this soldier to the assembly for all of us!

Join me in voting for Joel Campos for Assembly, district 22!
