Stanislaus finishes strong at golf invite

The Cal State Stanislaus men’s golf team scored a 289 at the weather-shortened Sonoma State Invitational at the Santa Rosa Golf Course on Tuesday, enough to move up three spots from the previous day to place fifth in the team standings.
Bryan shot an even par 72 in round two to finish with a one-under 143 in the 36-hole tournament, helping him place fifth and five strokes behind individual medalist Matthew Garcia of Academy of Art (68-70).
Chico State landed in first with two players in the top three.
Danny Hoff tied for 13th by shooting 76-70-146, J.T. Cockerill placed 23rd with a 75-73-148 and Teddy Schrier shot 76-74-150 for 33rd, while Trevor Blair rounded out the Stanislaus scores with 76-77-153 for 49th.
