Turlock finishes in second, Pitman takes third in mid-season CCAL golf tournament

The Mid-Season Central California Athletic League Tournament took place from Diablo Grande Golf Course on Wednesday as they teed off at exactly 10 a.m. with Turlock and Pitman High heading in with high expectations despite a strong Gregori squad.

Gregori was undefeated in league play heading into the tournament, while Turlock and Pitman were in second at 2-1.

By the time of the conclusion of the tournament, Gregori had topped all with a team score of 400. They had three guys who shot under 79.

Turlock followed in second with a team score of 425 and Pitman took third with a score of 472.

Turlock’s lowest score of the day came from No. 1 Keean Young who shot a 79. That was tied for third best score of the afternoon.

Pitman’s No. 1 Marcus Hawley finished the day with a 99. Teammate Connor Cook shot the lowest round on the Pride squad with an 89.

Next for both Pitman and Turlock boys golf is the Atwater Invitational at 10 a.m. Monday.
