2010 record: 3-2 CCC, 8-3 overall

Head coach: James Peterson (3rd year)

Assistants: Joe Oliveira, Kirk Peterson, Eddie Abbasi, Greg Smith, Vince Zipser, Zach Hollis

Top returners: Brandon Esquivel, Da’Shawn Holcombe, Bradli Badali, Johnny Padilla, Justin Clardy, Brandon Jurevich, Tony Sousa

Top newcomer: Sean Downs

Outlook: The pressure is on. The Bulldogs are out to prove that last year’s success, which included a playoff berth and finishing 8-3 overall after going 0-10, wasn’t an accident. Turlock will have to do it with a young quarterback in Sean Downs, the sophomore who’s replaces big-time playmaker Kevin Kramer. But the Bulldogs return an experienced group on both defense and offense. Da’Shawn Holcombe, Bradli Badali and Brandon Esquivel are some of the returners who are expected to lead the team. James Peterson and his coaching staff will have all but one of their offensive linemen returning as starters, giving the Bulldogs confidence in continuing last season’s success. With losing players such as Kramer, Ricky Fuentes and Connor Pearson, Peterson said one of the team’s main goals is establishing leaders.
