After 102 events the Seadogs managed to best their opponents with a score of 1162. The Ceres Dolphins placed second at 989.5 and the Tracy Tritons Swim club took third at 932.5.

“It was a great meet for some of our kids to try out some different events. It was a themed meet and a lot of the kids walking around with fuzzy mustaches was pretty fun,” said Seadogs coach Michaela Solario.

With their mustaches intact, the Seadogs managed to get first place in 46 events with a plethora of standouts.

Tyler Miller on the boys 9-10 age group topped all in the 100 yard individual medley with a time of 1:37.29 and also took first in the 50 yard butterfly with a time of 40.07 along with a fourth place result in the 50 yard freestyle.

“This weekend was a great meet to get us ready for our upcoming invitational,” said Solario. “At the end of the day our kids swam great and had a great time, so that is all we can ask for.”

At the 11-12 age group for the boys’ side, Cesar Flores and Cohen Harris fought it out in a pair of events. Flores placed first in the 100 yard individual medley and 50 yard breast stroke while Harris followed in second both events respectively.

Bice was also part of two first place relay teams in the 100 medley and the 100 free. He was joined on the relay team by Joey Powell, Gabrielle McCandless, and Malia Sloan.

Individually, Sloan took first in the 25 yard butterfly and McCandless followed in second. Sloan also took first in the 25 yard back stroke and 25 yard freestyle.

“We also had Peyton Selee finish with two personal bests,” Solario added. “Now we are going into a very important week with our invitational coming up this weekend. That is going to be a hard and emotional day, since it will be dedicated to the late Mark Selee, an amazing father, teacher, friend and a long time Seadog supporter.”

The Seadogs invitational will take place at Pitman High at 9 a.m. Saturday.

“We are very much looking forward to that,” said Seadogs coach Erich Richter. “Our athletes and parents are the best in the league and I couldn't ask for a better “summer family.” It was another great Saturday in the books.”
