In one of the biggest swim meets of the summer, easily more than 1,000 swimmers aged 18 and under participated in the SeaDog Invitational at Pitman High on Saturday. The event, in its 43rd year, attracted teams from the Mid-Valley Swim League, including the Sea Dogs Swim Team and Turlock Marlins.

It was the Sea Dogs that made a splash, as they finished third in points behind the Ripon Sea Lions and Tracy Tritons.

On a day filled with outstanding performances, some of the highlights included Sea Dogs swimmers Mary Lee (11-12) and Levi Seymour (17-18) finishing with the highest point total in their respective age groups. Many swimmers recorded personal-best times.

“It was ran well and it was well-attended,” Sea Dogs co-coach Valerie Lee said of the annual swim meet.
