The Turlock Police Department is investigating a shooting in a Westside alley that injured one.
The victim, a 22-year-old man, was shot once in the arm, according to the police report.
The shooting happened in the 500 block of Angelus Street, shortly after midnight Sunday.
The victim drove down the alley and was pulling into a residence, when an unidentified man came out from somewhere in the alley and fired several rounds at him, said Turlock Police Lt. Steve Williams.
None of the rounds struck the victim and thinking the shooter was out of bullets, he got out of the vehicle to confront the suspect. It was at this point that the shooter fired again, striking the victim in the arm, Williams said.
The police report states a small caliber weapon was used.
No one was arrested and the investigation remains ongoing.
