Denair party ends in fatality

A Denair man hosting a birthday party for a friend was stabbed to death by an uninvited guest, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department reported.

The sheriff’s department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect, who fled the scene before authorities arrived.

The victim has been identified as 21-year-old Alejandro Revuelta Maldonado of Denair.

Maldonado was hosting a birthday party for a friend Saturday night at a home in the 3100 block of E. Barnhart Road in Denair.

Around 12:50 a.m. an uninvited guest arrived at the party. Maldonado asked the suspect to leave and began escorting the suspect off the property when a fight broke out.

During the altercation Maldonado was stabbed multiple times by the suspect, said sheriff spokesman Sgt. Keith Rakoncza.

The suspect fled the area as law enforcement and emergency personnel were in route. Maldonado was transported to Emanuel Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

The suspect was described as a white male adult in his 20s with red hair and a red beard. He stands about 5 feet, 6 inches to 5 feet, 7 inches and weighs approximately 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red baseball hat, red plaid long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and boots. He was seen leaving the area in a white passenger style vehicle, make and model unknown.
