Drive-by shooting injures one in Turlock

A 25-year-old man is in the hospital and recovering from wounds he sustained after being shot multiple times in a drive-by shooting.

The Turlock Police Department received a report of shots fired in the 100 block of Almond Avenue shortly before 6 p.m. Wednesday. The first officers to arrive found the wounded 25-year-old man with what were described as life-threatening injuries, according to Turlock Police spokesperson Sgt. Stephen Webb.

The victim was rushed to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition, according to the police department.

The victim had been sitting in his vehicle when the suspect drove by and started shooting. The victim was struck three times. It’s unknown how many shots in total were fired.

The police department did not release any suspect information. The vehicle the suspect was driving was described as a dark colored sedan.
