Knife-wielding suspect robs Turlock store

The Turlock Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store, in which the suspect threatened the store clerk with a knife.

The robbery happened around 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Quik Stop at 1260 Geer Rd.

The suspect entered the store and almost immediately threatened the clerk at knife point, according to the police report.

The suspect walked behind the counter to the register and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect threatened the clerk that he would return if the police were called and then fled the area.

Investigators are looking at surveillance footage of the robbery.

The suspect was described as a black male adult between the ages of 18 to 25 years. He stood about 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall.
