A car ride turned into a robbery when one man pulled a knife on another man and took his belongings, according to the Turlock Police Department.

The victim was not injured in the encounter and the investigating officers did take a suspect into custody shortly after the robbery was reported.

The suspect has been identified as 39-year-old Keith Hobbs. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail on a charge of robbery and is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bail.
