The Merced County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who robbed a Walgreen’s store in Hilmar armed with a gun and a sprayer.

The robbery happened on the afternoon of Jan. 25, at the Walgreen’s store at 8298 Lander Ave.

The store employees told the Merced County Sheriff’s Department that the suspect entered the store wearing a white disposable jumpsuit, a dust mask, sunglasses and a blue and white baseball hat. He also had a backpack sprayer with him, according to the sheriff’s department. Surveillance footage from the incident also indicates the suspect may have had a tattoo on the right side of his neck.

The man left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. He left the area in a white newer model Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Z71 crew cab pick-up. He was last seen headed northbound on Highway 165 towards Turlock.
