An investigation by the Turlock Narcotics Enforcement Team led to the discovery of a marijuana growing operation inside a Turlock home.

The TNET served a search warrant at a home in the 500 block of Vermont Avenue at 9:45 a.m. Monday. Inside the home the team found approximately 100 mature marijuana plants, evidence of a concentrated cannabis lab, a loaded short-barreled shotgun, and a loaded revolver, according to the Turlock Police Department.

One person at the home, identified as 22-year-old David Rivera-Cruz of Turlock, was arrested and booked for cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sales, conspiracy, and violation of probation, said Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.

The marijuana plants were capable of producing 150-200 pounds of finished product with a street value of approximately $200,000, Lewis said.
