Three Turlock schools were broken into and vandalized by two unknown suspects early Monday morning.
The first burglary happened at 3:15 a.m. Monday at Pitman High School at 2525 W. Christoffersen Parkway. Several windows were smashed, which set off the alarm. Turlock Unified School District spokesperson Marie Russell said a few personal items were stolen.
Around 3:30 a.m. the alarm at Turlock High School was set off when a glass door into the cafeteria was broken. Video surveillance showed two subjects break the door. Several more windows were smashed and a vending machine also was vandalized. Russell said a computer and monitor were stolen from the school.
The final break-in was reported just after 4 a.m. when the alarm at Dutcher Middle School was activated. A classroom window was smashed and the subjects discharged a fire extinguisher in the science lab.
There were no descriptions available on the suspects.
“We would appreciate if anyone with information about these recent break-ins please contact the Turlock Police Department,” Russell said.
