An armed gunman robbed a Quik Stop in Turlock Wednesday night, taking cash and the clerk’s car keys.

The suspect entered the store at 2406 W. Monte Vista Avenue at 11:19 p.m. Wednesday.

He pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded the money from the store’s register. The clerk complied and handed over the cash. Then the suspect decided he also wanted the clerk’s money and his car keys, said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Russ Holeman.

Before leaving the store, the suspect stole two bottles of liquor, Holeman said.

The suspect was described as a black male adult around 25 years old. He stands about 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weighs around 170 pounds. He has a gap in his teeth.
