A Turlock woman sustained minor injuries in a solo rollover crash Saturday in the foothills.

Karen Gomez, 18, of Turlock was taken to Mark Twain Medical Center with minor injuries following the accident, according to the California Highway Patrol. Gomez was traveling alone at the time.

The accident occurred around 11 p.m. Saturday on Highway 4 in San Andreas. The CHP believes wet roads may have been a factor in the collision.

Gomez was driving a 2006 Hyundai westbound on the highway at an estimated speed of 40 mph when she lost control of the vehicle. The Hyundai slid off the road, hit an embankment and overturned in the westbound lane, according to the CHP.

The highway was wet from misty weather, the CHP reported.

Drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the collision.
