Turlock Police officers recovered a stolen semi truck because an officer found it odd that the truck had no trailer attached.

The semi was spotted in the area of Taylor Road and Golden State Boulevard around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The officer checked the license plate number and found it had been previously reported as stolen.

The officer contacted the driver, later identified as Eddie Gois, 41.

The officer eventually placed Gois under arrest on suspicion of stolen property and an active felony warrant for fraud, according to the police report.
