Suspect leaves man bleeding, unresponsive in road rage incident

The Turlock Police Department is searching for a suspect who assaulted a man in an incident of road rage that left the victim unconscious, said the Turlock Police Department.

The incident began Tuesday night when the victim and the suspect were separately driving in the 2000 block of Geer Road and were nearly involved in a minor traffic collision. 

As a result of this near collision, the unidentified suspect followed the victim to a local gas station. The suspect approached the victim and assaulted him, leaving the victim unconscious, said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Parmley.

Police officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Geer Road around 10 p.m. Tuesday. In the parking lot they found the man unconscious and bleeding.

“The victim was transported to a local area hospital with potential life-threatening injuries and was held overnight for treatment and monitoring,” Parmley said.

Detectives were assigned to this investigation and were able to locate an image of the suspect, who is described as a light skinned Hispanic or Black male adult in his 30s, approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall with a muscular build.
