The Turlock Police Department is investigating a drive-by shooting that injured a juvenile girl.

The shooting was reported around 2:30 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Flower Avenue.

The call initially stated a woman was being shot at and numerous officers responded to the scene.

The first officers to arrive found a juvenile girl with a gunshot wound. They began first aid until emergency medical technicians arrived and transferred the girl to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.

The girl’s wound is not considered life threatening, according to the police department.

Investigators suspect the girl was hit during a drive-by shooting.
