Ceres Police intercepted a Turlock driver who entered the city on northbound Mitchell Road early Thursday and arrested him with a stolen Chevy Silverado owned by U-Haul. 

At 3:10 a.m. Officer Eric Souza was advised of the stolen pickup, heading into Ceres from Highway 99 onto northbound Mitchell Road. After spotting it in the area of Mitchell Road and Whitmore Avenue, Officer Souza pulled behind the vehicle and made a traffic stop near Mitchell Plaza. Driver Jose Figueroa, 19, of Turlock, was ordered out of the vehicle and arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle.
