Two injured in drive-by shooting at Turlock motel

The Turlock Police Department is investigating a drive-by shooting at a local motel that left two people wounded.

The shooting happened shortly before 5 a.m. Thursday at the Motel 6 at 250 S. Walnut Road.

The two victims are both adults and each sustained at least one gunshot wound that created “life-threatening injuries,” said Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Steve Rodrigues.

The victims were transported to nearby hospitals and are currently in stable condition, Rodrigues said.

The two victims were shot while standing in the motel parking lot.

The shooter was described as a Hispanic male in his 30s. He was seen wearing a dark colored baseball hat.

The suspect was driving an older blue or black sedan, unknown make or model.

The weapon was not recovered at the scene and the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.

The police department is asking for the public’s assistance regarding the circumstances surrounding this shooting.
