The City of Turlock celebrated National Public Works Week with an equipment show outside of City Hall, prior to the City Council meeting on Tuesday where a proclamation was read recognizing public works as a “critical and integral part of our citizens’ everyday lives.”
“From providing clean water to disposing of solid waste, to building roads and bridges or planning for and implementing mass transit, to maintaining beautiful parks or devising emergency management strategies to meet natural or manmade disasters, public works services help determine a society’s quality of life,” reads the proclamation.
