On Tuesday, the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors reappointed Turlock City Manager Roy Wasden to continue serving as a member of the Stanislaus County Emergency Medical Services Committee.

For over four years, Wasden has been serving as the Urban City Administrator representative to the Emergency Medical Services Committee, which seeks to provide the framework for quality emergency medical services to the citizens of Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, Mariposa, and Stanislaus counties.

“We work with the system of emergency medical services to ensure contracts are honored while seeking ways for system improvement,” said Wasden.

With a focus on quality pre-hospital care services, the committee helps recommend the optimal Emergency Medical Services dispatch and first response configuration for the County. Members also recommend the best emergency ambulance service area arrangement while evaluating the need for policy development and maintenance of a coordinated EMS disaster plan.

During the meeting, the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors also reappointed Mary Ann Lee as the County Public Health and Social Services representative, alongside Paul Baxter as the non-affiliated public representative to serve another three years on the committee.
