Denair will put its community pride on display next weekend at the 5th Annual Denair Farm & Family Festival.

“The festival will give people all the information they need to know about the services in the Denair area,” said event chairman James Shehan. “Most importantly, it will give them the chance to just have fun.”

The festival has something to offer for every visitor, including food and handmade crafts from over 100 vendors, a classic car show, and an antique farm equipment show.

In addition, the festival is set to have two stages with ongoing entertainment all day. Visitors can listen to local singers and bands, watch dance performances, and interact with Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe impersonators.

The event will also be host to a kids zone, where kids can interact with farm animals at the petting zoo, courtesy of the local FFA club, and participate in a number of activities.

Runners will have the opportunity to participate in a 5K with the Denair Farm & Family Fun Run. Those interested can register the day of at 7 a.m. and the race will start at 8 a.m. This year’s run will benefit the Diabetes Clinic of Children’s Hospital of Central California.

This is the Denair Farm & Family Festival’s fifth year running. Volunteers came up with the idea of the festival in hopes of highlighting the community of Denair.

“We wanted people to know that Denair is out here,” said Shehan. “We wanted to show people what we have to offer.”

The festival will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 13 in downtown Denair. For more information, visit denairfestival.com.
