The Stanislaus County Parks and Recreation department will present the inaugural Spring Boat Expo at Woodward Reservoir from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 7.

The event will start with a variety of boats on display, boat demonstrations, train shuttle rides, and free Mother’s Day photos near the picnic shelter at Woodward Reservoir. All families are welcome to have their portraits taken and the photos will be available when you like Woodward Reservoir’s Facebook page. Food and beverage vendors will be onsite as well as the Stanislaus County Police Activities League providing face painting for the kids.

“The Spring Boat Expo further supports Woodward Reservoir’s mission of providing family-friendly events throughout the year to our community,” said Jami Aggers, the director of the Stanislaus County Parks and Recreation department.

“The outdoors at Woodward Reservoir is a local treasure,” Aggers said. “This Spring Boat Expo is a great opportunity for families to get a taste of the beauty, showcasing a local attraction that can be experienced every day of the week.”

The Expo will feature Bass Pro from Manteca, Boat Country from Escalon, Bob’s Marine from Oakdale and Marina Boat Sales from Lodi.

Woodward Reservoir is located at 14528 26 Mile Road in Oakdale.  Admission to the Woodward Reservoir is $10 per vehicle. There is no additional cost to participate in the Spring Boat Expo or other activities and all are welcome.
