History of Business:

When the success of Caddy’s Hair Studio on Golden State Boulevard had customers flowing out of its doors, owner Jose Galvan knew that it was time to expand his business. So, three weeks ago, Caddy’s Hair Studio’s second location opened on West Main Street.

Now, when Galvan feels overwhelmed by clients at the original Caddy’s, he sends them on over to the new location a few minutes away. He chose studio manager Tony Hernandez to take the reins at the new location, thanks to his communication skills and ability to give a quality haircut experience.

“We’re trying to stray away from the average barber shop,” said Hernandez. “We wanted a location that could be family-oriented.”

With its bright red décor and oldies music playing softly through the speakers, the new Caddy’s welcomes clients of all ages. In fact, Hernandez explained that the studio is doing everything in its power to encourage children in the area to not only get a fresh, new cut at Caddy’s, but to excel in school as well. Caddy’s does this by offering free haircuts to students who are on the honor roll at the nearby Osborn Elementary.

Other than helping the local children stay motivated in the classroom, another goal of Caddy’s Hair Studio is to communicate with the customers.

“Customer satisfaction means a lot to us,” said Hernandez. “We put ourselves in the customer’s shoes.”

Though the studio is only in its third week of business, things are sailing smoothly according to Hernandez.
