Newman businesswoman Maria Mendoza is aiming to inspire local women to achieve their best through her second annual empowerment event, All Through Me.

Mendoza, who works in a variety of areas including freight brokering, life insurance and financial services, launched her women’s empowerment event last year as a way to get “like-minded women together to help each other be better, wherever we are.”

The first event was held in her home and was so successful that Mendoza has expanded the number of speakers and workshops and moved it to a new location — The Tower Health & Wellness, 1801 Colorado Ave., Turlock.

The event’s name, All Through Me, explains Mendoza’s philosophy on empowerment.

“All Through Me means we have what we need within us to make a change… it all happens within us. We validate ourselves and work from the inside out,” she said.

The event, being held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, will include 10 inspirational speakers who will share their stories of transformation and success.
