Farm and Family Festival

It was a day of food and fun at the first annual Denair Farm and Family Festival on Saturday.

Community groups, entertainers, and vendors took up shop in downtown Denair Saturday for a day of activities and attractions, including a petting zoo, a fresh fruit market from Cipponeri Farms, grilled barbecue from Denair Meats and Copper Spur Bar-B-Que, and a classic car and antique farm equipment show.

The event was organized by the Denair Civic Association and drew an estimated crowd of 5,000, said James Shehan, who handled the marketing and public relations for the event.

“It was a great event and everyone really enjoyed themselves,” Shehan said. “We’re looking forward to next year when we expand to two days.”
