Hilmar man killed in crash identified
emergency

Authorities have released the name of the Hilmar man killed while riding a motorcycle on a stretch of country road.

The deceased was identified as Dwight Tucker, 61, of Hilmar.

The collision happened at 3:10 p.m. Friday on Faith Home Road at the E. Taylor Road intersection.

A 2007 Ford pickup truck, driven by Jhonny Torres, 50, of Turlock was headed northbound on Faith Home Road, approaching the intersection with E. Taylor Road.

Tucker, who was driving a 2017 Harley Davidson, was traveling southbound on Faith Home Road, also approaching the intersection with E. Taylor Road.

According to the CHP, Torres made a left turn onto E. Taylor Road, directly in the path of the motorcycle. The front of the motorcycle struck the right front of the Ford, causing Tucker to be ejected onto the road.

Tucker was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The CHP does not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
