Inaugural seed swap at Denair public library

Aspiring and veteran gardeners have the opportunity to enrich their land plots by exchanging seeds at the Denair Library’s inaugural Seed Swap.

Seed swaps are a nationwide trend that allows local community members to diversify their garden, meet fellow gardeners and save money on seeds. A selection of vegetables and flowers will be available as well as seedlings and various plants, depending upon what locals bring.

“I think it’s just a great way for people to get to know other gardeners, get some pointers and it’s nice for the community to come together,” said Karina Mendoza, branch manager for Denair.

The Seed Swap will take place from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. or later on Saturday at the Denair Library located at 4801 Kersey Road.
