Man dies in solo motorcycle crash

A motorcyclist was killed in a solo vehicle crash Monday afternoon along the outskirts of Turlock.

The name of the deceased has not been identified at this time. He was a 61-year-old Denair resident, according to the news release from the California Highway Patrol.

The accident happened just after noon on Monday on Central Avenue, near the intersection with Hilmar Road.

The motorcyclist was driving a 2006 Yamaha RS southbound on Central Avenue, when for an unknown reason he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed. It’s unknown at this time how fast the motorcycle was travelling at the time of the accident.

The man was ejected from his motorcycle and was transported to Memorial Medical Center, where he later died from the injuries.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
