For 35 years the event has reinforced the giving spirit associated with the holiday season, contributing to the city’s efforts of making a difference for those in need through its annual breakfast fundraiser. The breakfast was held Dec. 6 and, thanks to some help from Off Center Thrift & Gift, raised a total of $21,000 for Turlock Together, Jessica’s House and United Samaritans.

A recurring theme at the opening night of the 2025 Stanislaus County Fair in Turlock — the 107th edition of the annual event — was the heat. Sure, it's not 108 degrees like last year, but 102 on Friday afternoon wasn't too far off.
