Santa Claus is comin’ to town, literally.

Frank Saldivar and Casey Cockrell, members of Turlock Fire Incorporated, have been working diligently to put together the annual Santa Tour of the city complete with music, candy canes and Santa himself riding in a vintage fire engine.

Turlock Fire Incorporated has put on Santa tours through the neighborhoods of Turlock for over 30 years, and it’s a well-anticipated tradition.

“The community loves the fact that we come through the neighborhood and we are happy to be doing it,” said Saldivar, Captain of Turlock Fire Incorporated. “It’s something that is looked forward to every year.”

Santa and his helpers will be visiting on a big red fire truck starting this week through Dec. 20.

“We have multiple generations now that have enjoyed the visit through their neighborhood,” said Saldivar. “They enjoy the music, the atmosphere, and it just gets everyone excited for Christmas.”

To see when he will be nearest your home, visit cityofturlock.org and click on the Fire Department link. There is a search bar on the page that allows you to type in your street address to see what day Santa will be passing by your neighborhood.

“We would like to thank the community for their support with this program,” said Saldivar. “We love that they look forward to it and we will continue to do it as long as we can.”
