The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps Princeton Division and Training Ship Princeton underwent their annual unit inspection on Tuesday night. They were inspected for uniform neatness and quizzed about Naval and Sea Cadet information. They were also honored at an awards ceremony in front of family and friends.
Sea Cadets are young men and women ages 11 to 17 who go through naval style training. The goal of the Sea Cadets Corps is to teach young people good citizenship and the importance of the United States sea services.
Cadets attend two weeks of boot camp training. Sea Cadets around the country also have the opportunity to study a wide range of advanced topics, everything from culinary arts training to seal team training.
