Hoping to create a place for spirituality, love, acceptance and healing The Spiritual Church of Turlock is hosting a holistic expo.

This holistic event will be held at the Stanislaus County fairgrounds with a wide array of booths and vendors.

The Spiritual Church of Turlock hosts this event twice a year, once in April and again in October, and has been doing so for 14 years.

“We first held it in our church, then later at the Holiday Inn Express and finally at the fairgrounds,” said Rev. Gaylene Cornell.  “We now have the biggest building at the fairgrounds and we sure do fill it up.”

The Turlock Expo will have roughly 60 vendors in attendance, covering a wide variety of practices, ranging from energy healings to acupressure and Naturopathic physicians to chiropractors.

“It’s our major fundraiser for the year,” said Cornell. “We are trying to get our church out there and show that there is an alternative to some of the other churches in town and also because a lot of people need a place to see a medium.”

Cornell has been involved in holistic and intuition work for 30 years and will be doing free gallery readings and group readings for about 70 people.

There will be a food court as well.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and there will be free seminars held throughout the day.

Admission and parking is free, and the event is held in building E-2.
