Amelia Gomez, 92, of Keyes, died Wednesday in Turlock.
Amelia was born Nov. 19, 1917 in Vila Obrigo, Jalisco, Mexico. She was a homemaker for 36 years and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Turlock.
She is survived by her sons, Antonio Gomez of Mexico, Jose Gomez of Oklahoma, Francisco Gomez of Los Angeles and Lucas Gomes Los Angeles; daughters, Serafina ORopez of Mexico, Aurora Gonzalez of Los Angeles, Maria da la Luz Loza of Keyes, Odulia Ramirez of Turlock, Arecela Ibarra of Turlock, Maria de Jesus Padilla of Keyes and Amelia Viveros of Turlock; sister, Bicenta Ruzoga of Mexico; 72 grandchildren; lots of great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 7 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel. A Mass is scheduled at noon on Monday, March 8 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons St., Turlock. A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 7 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Service. Burial will be in Mexico.
Services are under the direction of Whitehurst, Norton & Dias.
