Anita Mize-LaFollette “ Grandma Angel” , 75, received her wings when she passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Mother’s Day at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House.

 Born in Olivehurst, CA to Albert and Lena Wood. She spent most of her life in Turlock, CA raising her daughter and five step-sons with her loving husband Waymon “Mike” Mize. 

 Being in the presence of her friends and family is what brought her the most joy in life. Anita was active with her RV club ( Free ‘N Easy ) and playing cards with her ladies. 

 Anita was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one daughter, one step-son, and husbands, Waymon Mize and Everette LaFollette.

 She is survived by her daughter Leanne Inahara of Fresno, four step-sons, two brothers, three sisters and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 14 from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., in Turlock.  The funeral service will follow on Thursday, May 15, at 1:00p.m., also at Turlock Funeral Home, and immediately followed by a dinner at Mitchell Community Church. The burial will be private for immediate family members only.

 Remembrances may be sent to Turlock Funeral Home and any donations may be directed to Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Anita’s name.
