Artie Brooks entered into his rest on Friday, January 20, 2017. He was a WWII Veteran and U.S. Army PFC. Artie was a retired home builder and property developer. 

He leaves behind his loving children, Kathy Simpson (Dennis), Linda Crone (Jim), Jeannie Clark (John), Gary Brooks (Luetta), Richard Brooks and Dave Brooks (Tammy). He also leaves behind his thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, as well as one sister, Lavenia Merle and his amazing caregiver Nora Paredes. 

A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thurs., Jan. 26, at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock, CA. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Fri., Jan. 27, at The Turlock Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2400 N. Olive Ave. Turlock, CA. He will be laid to rest at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock, CA.
