Billy Bovee, 81 of Magalia passed away at home with his daughter Donna Cook & son-in-law, Terry Cook, by his side.

Billy Ray Bovee was born June 29, 1930 in Holtville, CA to Manley & Anna Bovee. He was 2nd to the youngest of 12 children.

Billy joined the Air Force before graduating from high school & married his sweetheart of nearly 58 years, Florence Anderson of Turlock in 1954. (Florence preceded him in death, passing away just one month ago on Dec. 4th 2011.)

In 1957 they moved to El Monte, where he joined Cal Trans as a Transportation Engineer/Surveyor prior to moving to Los Gatos CA in 1964. They were both dedicated, active members of the Lark Avenue Assembly of God Church for 29 years. Billy sang in the choir, taught Sunday school & was a member of the Kings Crusaders Quartet. She and Billy retired to Paradise, CA in 1991.

He is survived by his daughter Donna Cook of Magalia, son-in-love Terry Cook of Magalia, son Dan Bovee of Magalia, grandson Caleb Bovee & granddaughter Sarah Bovee of Paradise. Billy also survived by his brother Leslie Bovee of Magalia, sister Esther Piper of San Diego and brother-in-law Willard Anderson of Turlock.
